I LOVE bacon wrapped dates. Anyone who doesn’t is cray cray (in my humble opinion of course). Talk about an easy to make paleo crowd pleaser! Bacon wrapped dates are da [easy paleo recipe] bomb baby!
A friend of mine had a dinner party last night and I couldn’t decide what to bring. Normally I make these fabulous nut and dried fruit, or nut butter cookies, here are a few recipes from my blog that are my favs.
But for this crowd, been there, done that. It was time for something new!
I took one pound of bacon, cut the pieces in half vertically, and wrapped them around Hadley’s pitted dates. Then I placed them on a foil lined cookie sheet and baked at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
Half way through I turned them with a spatula. I started to turn them by hand, not smart. Bacon grease is pretty darn hot at that temperature.
I like my bacon super crispy, so cooking them for 45 minutes was perfect for my taste. Depending on how you like your bacon you could cook them for a shorter time period.
Can I get a nom nom nom? These things are paleo crack. Just sayin’!
